Drake's Hollywood Makes Its Montrose Debut
Drake's Hollywood Brings Glamour and Culinary Excellence to Houston
Following the debut of Hudson House, restaurateur Hunter Pond and his Vandelay Hospitality Group unveil the latest culinary venture: Drake’s Hollywood. Having opened earlier this year, Drake's marks the third venue for the brand, promising to echo the enchanting essence found in its West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and Dallas locations. “When we were able to purchase this iconic piece of real estate, the immediate notion was to bring Drake’s to Houston,” says Pond. “I have so many dear friends in Houston who visit Drakes in both Hollywood and Dallas, and it made perfect sense to bring that same vibe to Houston.” Pond continues, “I love this city. I think it is one of the greatest culinary destinations in the country." Whether the evening calls for an intimate dinner or more festive gatherings, Drake’s offers a versatile and luxurious dining experience. Inside, the space channels the regal ambiance reminiscent of Hollywood’s Golden Era (think original murals that honor Hollywood icons), blending sophisticated cuisine and expertly crafted cocktails within a vintage yet lively atmosphere.
On the menu, expect Dry-Aged and Wagyu steaks, Hollywood inspired sushi rolls, and crave-able American classics, plus crowd favorites like the spicy salmon crispy rice with gochujang and serrano pepper, Ozzy’s pizza with filet mignon, arugula, sweet onion, truffle oil, and balsamic glaze and the Pasta Za Za, a spicy rigatoni with chili flake and parmesan. Completing the menu is a dazzling array of desserts, such as the 24 Layer Strawberry Cake and Chocolate Silk Pie. Complementing the culinary fare is the bar’s extensive collection of vintage wines and Hollywood-inspired cocktails, including the much-celebrated “World’s Coldest Martinis,” a signature of the Vandelay concept.
